Skills assessment requirements
Please refer to the following information to determine the skills assessment process that you will need to follow. Depending on your situation, you may only need to complete part of the skills assessment process.
Please READ the Instructions for completing CCEA Desktop Audit application forms in order to determine which form you need to complete.
To find out if your program is a recognised accredited program, refer to this list of Recognised off-shore programs.

Please note: Before considering a skills assessment for an Australian Temporary Graduate visa, please ensure you read the Department of Home Affairs website. You may have access to the Post-Study Work stream of the Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485) which does not require applicants to nominate an occupation or obtain a skills assessment. Please direct visa enquiries to the Department of Home Affairs.
Form A is for candidates who are not Australian or New Zealand citizens who wish to apply for migration to Australia or New Zealand.
Candidates who hold a recent Australian/New Zealand qualification from a recognised accredited program or current registration without conditions in Australia or New Zealand are exempt from the Competency Based Assessment.
Candidates who do not hold current registration, or a recent qualification, may be required to undertake the Competency Based Assessment. CCEA will be advised on what will need to be assessed.

Please complete Form B. Note that this application form is for both Australian/New Zealand and non-Australian/New Zealand citizens.
Individuals with a chiropractic qualification from a recognised accredited program located outside of Australia and New Zealand are exempt from Part 1 – Written Basic Competency of the Competency Based Assessment. All other parts of the Competency Based Assessment will need to be completed.

Please complete Form C. This application form is for both Australian/New Zealand and non-Australian/New Zealand citizens.
Individuals with a chiropractic qualification that is not recognised as an accredited program by the CCEA will need to complete all parts of the Competency Based Assessment.
Please note: In addition to the Desktop Audit application, candidates are required to submit detailed documentation of the program undertaken for the award of their chiropractic qualification.

If the candidate is initially unable to provide documentation to substantiate their application, the Desktop Audit Team will endeavour to work with the candidate through a review process to find alternate documentation to support their claims. Maintaining open dialogue between the candidate and the Desktop Audit Team supports this process.
