PUBLICATION of the Chiropractic Accreditation and Competency Standards
Following the review of the 2017 Accreditation Standards for Chiropractic Programs and Competency Standards for Graduating Chiropractors, the Accreditation and Competency Standards document has been finalised. The Council on Chiropractic Education Australasia Ltd (CCEA) reviewed the two sets of standards relevant to the safe and professional practice of chiropractors and the Council’s accreditation functions.
CCEA is currently the independent body responsible for ensuring competency and higher education standards in chiropractic in Australia, New Zealand and Malaysia.
The Standards being reviewed are the:
Accreditation Standards for Chiropractic Programs
Competency Standards for Chiropractors.
These two key sets of Standards are complementary and strongly interlinked. They are the mainstay of chiropractic practice and education in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand, as well as for the Asian programs adopting these standards.
The Accreditation Standards for Chiropractic Programs and Competency Standards for Chiropractors 2025 can be found here.
